Kathmandu. At least six people, including three women, were killed and 28 others injured when a bus they were traveling in rammed into a hill in Nepal’s Sindhuli district on Sunday. According to the news of the newspaper ‘The Kathmandu Post’, the bus going from Okhaldhunga to Kathmandu met with an accident at Fikkal Rural Municipality-4 near Mid-Hill Highway. There were 34 passengers in the bus. Police said that three men and three women died on the spot in the accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Dahal said that according to preliminary investigation, the bus hit the hill after the driver lost control of the vehicle. He said that the injured passengers have been admitted to Khurkot Hospital. Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Silwal said five of the seriously injured passengers would be airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. Police said that the bus driver is absconding.
