SK opened a criminal case after the suspension of traffic between BKL stations

A criminal case was initiated on the fact of violation of safety rules during construction work after the suspension of traffic between the stations of the Big Circle Line (BKL) on the morning of March 13. This was reported in the press service of the UK Department for Moscow.
“Investigators of the capital’s Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case on the fact of violation of safety rules during construction work (Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) on the sampling of soil carried out in the west of Moscow, which led to the suspension of train traffic on the BKL metro section,” the report said. .
It was established that the earthworks were carried out by employees of a private construction organization. Investigators are now seizing construction and design documentation.
On the morning of March 13, the deptrans reported that train intervals had been temporarily increased on the BCL. Later it became known that there was no train traffic from Novatorskaya station to Aminevskaya station. At 12:25 Moscow time, traffic on the BKL was restored.
The Moscow department of transport explained the failure in the operation of the BCL by the illegal work of the Donstroy developer. “Due to the lack of construction control, without coordination with the Moscow Metro, the Donstroy company organized drilling work on the metro tunnel between the Michurinsky Prospekt and Aminevskaya stations. The drilling machine drilled a hole, which led to the release of clay and sand on the path,” the report said.
It is clarified that, by decision of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Authority, construction on the site above the tunnel was stopped until the circumstances were clarified.
