Sochaux and Guingamp on the way, Bordeaux with difficulties

Sochaux and Guingamp lost on penalties while Bordeaux got scared against a 4th division club.

Sochaux and Guingamp, two Ligue 2 clubs, left the Coupe de France in the eighth round after their defeats on penalties on Saturday against Thaon (N3) and Les Herbiers (N2), while Bordeaux won with difficulty (3- 2) against Trélissac (N2).

In a match played half an hour ten against ten, the Sochaliens almost won thanks to a double from Tony Mauricio (21st, 84th), but Thaon equalized in the wake of the second goal by Tom Condi (86th ) before emerging victorious from the penalty shootout (2-2, 3 tab to 1).

It is also in this exercise that En Avant Guingamp failed after a draw by the same score (2-2, 4 pens to 3) against Les Herbiers, a club which had reached the final of the competition in 2018, only failing against PSG (2-0).

In the evening, the Girondins did not fall into the trap set by Trélissac (3-2), a town located about a hundred kilometers from Bordeaux.
