She is the first astronaut from Saudi Arabia to fly to space after decades. Also aboard the rocket is John Schnaufer, a Tennessee-based businessman who started his own sports car ‘racing’ team.
The astronauts are being led by retired NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, who currently works for the company managing the 10-day trip. The Falcon rocket took off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Sunday afternoon carrying these pengers.
