Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council Member from the IYI Party, Suat Sarı, announced that he is a candidate for the IMM Mayor with a written statement on his social media account.

Sarı used the following statements in his post:
* “Dear Istanbulites, With my experience gained at IMM, where I served as an ‘Executive Bureaucrat’ at a young age, my 35 years of experience in the field of ‘Traffic and Transportation’ and my experience as an ‘IMM Council Member’; I am setting out as the IYI Party IBB Presidential Candidate to solve the problems of Istanbul.
“IT IS ENOUGH FOR MERIT TO BE IN POWER”
* Regarding the chronic problems of our city; Unless different solution methods are applied by experts, the complaints of our citizens of Istanbul will not be alleviated. It is clear that we must now enter a period in which merit will be appreciated by politics and the nation.
* With this claim; We started our work with a large team of technocrats who are experts in the field of urban planning to develop permanent and sustainable solutions to Istanbul’s problems. It is not impossible for our Istanbul to become more livable, more comfortable, fairer, greener and safer. For all this; It is enough for merit to be in power.”
