Summer festivals: K-pop stars Stray Kids and rapper Damso at Lollapalooza


The new announcement of Lollapalooza 2023 had an effect on social networks, this Wednesday, January 25. The Parisian festival will welcome, for its fifth anniversary, from July 21 to 23, the stars of K-pop Stray Kids, who will perform for the first time as headliners of a French festival, the rappers Damso, Niska and Central Cee, former One Direction Niall Horan, pop group OneRepublic, the return of Australian guitar hero John Butler, the phenomenal Californian violinist Lindsey Stirling. The first round of names in December already looked great with Kendrick Lamar, Rosalia, Aya Nakamura, Lil Nas X, Kygo…

The meeting created by the American rocker Perry Farrell and orchestrated by Live Nation France at the Longchamp racecourse focuses on eclecticism and exclusivity. Thus, no less than twenty artists will make their only hexagonal date of the summer there: Kendrick Lamar, Stray Kids, Lil Nas X, OneRepublic, Kygo, Niall Horran, Lindsey Stirling, but also revelations, Rezz, Maisie Peters, Picture This, Deathpact, Nicki Nicole, JID, Svdden Death Presents Voyd, The Driver Era, Tokischa, San Holo, Tony Romera… Day passes will go on sale Friday January 27 at 10 a.m. at a single price of 89 euros, three-day passes will cost 220 euros.

Rema and J Balvin at Solidays

Another anniversary to celebrate with great fanfare this summer at Longchamp, the 25th anniversary of Solidays, from June 23 to 25. The event organized by the Solidarité Sida association will bring together the cream of French-speaking musicians with a genuine eclecticism: Angèle, Juliette Armanet, the instrumental pianist Sofiane Pamart, the rockers of Shaka Ponk in full farewell tourthe rappers Bigflo & Oli, Tiakola, Djadja & Dinaz, Zola and Hamza, the masked electro avenger Vladimir Cauchemar, the cult DJ Laurent Garnier…

The first two international guests are also catchy: one of the most powerful Latin artists of the moment, the Colombian “Prince of Reggaeton” J Balvin, and the Nigerian Rema, author of “Calm Down”, one of the most listened to songs of 2022. Other names will drop in March. The box office will open on February 1 at 1 p.m. Solidarité Sida will sell 25,000 three-day passes from 39 euros.
