involved in a complex case of suspicion of barbouzeries within the PSGin which he expects to be quickly questioned by the courts, Hicham Karmoussi, the steward of Nasser al-Khelaïfi spoke publicly for the first time, with our colleagues from Mediapart. Saccording to which he would have already been heard as a witness on Tuesday by the police of the anti-corruption office, as part of the investigation into the 2022 World Cup carried out by the examining magistrate Serge Tournaire.
Karmoussi claims to have been under strong pressure
Karmoussi claims to have done the ” housework ” twice, in 2017, the first of which caused a fire to start, in the Paris apartment of the president of PSG, who allegedly ordered him to remove documents on the World Cup in Qatar (November 20- December 18), so that they are not found by the French and Swiss justices.
But Karmoussi kept some of them, which he then entrusted to two relatives. He claims to have finally come under strong pressure in 2020 to return these documents and not to interfere in the trial of Nasser al-Khelaïfi in Switzerland, in the corruption case linked to the 2022 World Cup also involving the ex-FIFA number 2, Jérôme Valcke.
