“We manage to bring in international groups thanks to the reputation of the site. Chambord is one of the best-known French monuments in the world. Imagine Dragons was immediately attracted by the idea of performing here. The emotion was indeed palpable Friday evening, September 8, when Dan Reynolds, charismatic leader of the group, appeared in front of the monument. He stepped into the crowd on a promontory and to the applause of fans declared: “If we had ever told the little boy from Nevada that he would perform here!” » Showing the castle lit by smoke bombs and a glitter fireworks display, he then launched “Thank you France!” » before grabbing a tricolor flag.
Oscar Rougé, 17, who came specially from Quimper, did not hide his pleasure at witnessing this rare moment: “I was able to see my favorite group and I discovered the Château de Chambord. Two world-famous stars! » smiled the high school student.
“These exceptional events allow us to attract a public who does not necessarily visit the castles. All these young people are here today for Imagine Dragons, but will come back one day.
