The court arrested the ex-general director of Aviatika in the case of theft in the Ministry of Industry and Trade



The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow arrested for two months the former general director of Aviatika LLC, Igor Pyankov, who is the main defendant in the case of theft in the Ministry of Industry and Trade when creating software for the needs of the shipbuilding industry, T reports.

Pyankov will remain in pre-trial detention until at least January 8. The investigation insisted on arresting the man in connection with his possible attempts to hide from the investigation and warn his accomplices in the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Pyankov himself noted that he repented and was cooperating with the investigation.

According to T, we are talking about thefts amounting to over 240 million rubles, which the Ministry of Industry and Trade allocated to MIREA University for carrying out experimental design work (R&D) “Adaptation”. It was umed that these funds would be used, among other things, to create software for the needs of the shipbuilding industry, the development of a standard electronic digital model of a vessel in a unified Russian format for storing project documentation.

A criminal case into the theft was opened six months ago. According to investigators, the crimes could have occurred between 2016 and 2018. Pyankov was director of Aviatika until 2021.
