Laura Lindemann took the sprint victory from Briton Beth Potter, winner of the women’s race on Thursday. Belgium completes the podium at the foot of which the French team fails. The French led most of this revamped format at 1.35km running, 5.8km cycling and 1.8km running, except for the first torchbearer who started with a 900m walk so that the start of the event is given from the Alexandre III bridge.
Less than a year from the Olympic deadline, this is the third test event troubled by the quality of the river water in two weeks: at the beginning of the month, the open water swimming event was canceled and on Saturday the para-triathlon test events have already been reduced to a duathlon format.
