The Ministry of Industry and Trade included IKEA products in the list of parallel imports
The Ministry of Industry and Trade approved an updated list of goods allowed for parallel import to Russia. The order is published on the portal of legal information.
The list was supplemented by brands of motor oils (Shell Helix, Rimula), household appliances (Zanussi, Wahl), cosmetics and perfumes (Lancome, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Kerastase), toys (Hasbro, Logitech, Mattel, Nintendo), clothing, etc. .
In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade included IKEA products in the list and expanded the list of cars for import under parallel import. The list includes Citroen, Mazda, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Ford, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia and Dacia.
Parallel import involves the importation of original goods into the country without the permission of the copyright holder or manufacturer. In Russia, this measure came into effect on March 29, 2022 in response to Western sanctions. In September, the mechanism was extended until 2023.
The list of products for parallel import includes goods from manufacturers of electronics (Apple, Samsung, Asus, Intel, Sony, etc.), cars (Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley), rare earth metals, sports equipment, etc.
In August, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also included perfumes and cosmetics, and in November allowed parallel imports of alcohol to Russia. In particular, the list includes Jack Daniels whiskey, White Horse, Jägermeister liqueur, Jim Beam bourbon, etc.
