INTERVIEW – At the opening of the parliamentary days which begin Tuesday in Saint-Malo (Ile-et-Vilaine), the leader of the LR deputies in the embly presents to the Figaro the ambitions of the right.

LE FIGARO. – What message do you want to send to LR deputies this fall?
Olivier MARLEIX. – The French are watching what is happening in the National embly. Through our proposals, our votes, we have the opportunity to tell them again what we are. But to be heard, we must play collectively. We will be in full force in Saint-Malo, it’s a real signal.
Under what theme do you place these days?
The central theme is national unity. Our country has never been so fractured: Emmanuel Macron took advantage of these fractures to push the French into the arms of Mélenchon or Le Pen and pose as the guarantor of order. We have never experienced crises as deep as those of the “yellow vests”, retirements and urban violence. For all those who are attached to the unity of the country, this is unbearable.
