The vessel with 45 seats was manufactured by the Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoils named after. R. E. Alekseeva. The launching ceremony took place in Rostov-on-Don. In 2024, Valdai will serve two suburban routes: Rostov-on-Don – Azov and Rostov-on-Don – Kochetovskaya – Konstantinovsk – Romanovskaya, as well as conduct educational walks in Rostov-on-Don.
“Two vessels, one here, the other we will purchase before the end of this year, will begin operating on permanent routes in the 2024 navigation season. The first of them is Azov, Konstantinovsk, Semikarakorsk, Volgodonsk, we will move in this direction,” said the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev.
The head of the region also spoke about plans to purchase the Meteor ship with 120 seats, which will diversify tourist routes. Previously, Meteor can travel to Yeisk, Kerch and Yalta. The head of the Rostov region expressed confidence in the high demand for this type of travel.
