The official, who was seen beating the child in the Quran course, was arrested
Sedat Ç., who was seen beating a 13-year-old boy in a Quran course belonging to an association in Istanbul Büyükçekmece, was arrested by the court he was brought to.
D.Ç., who went to the police, complained that his 13-year-old son M.Ç., whom he had sent to the Tepecik Science Culture and Service Association Qur’an course in Hürriyet Mahallesi Dokuz Eylül Sokak, was beaten by his teacher on 24 February.
D.Ç. gave the police footage of the beating moments that his son’s friend secretly recorded with his cell phone. Upon complaints and images, the police detained Sedat Ç.
Sedat Ç., who confessed to beating children because they made fun of him, was arrested by the court he was brought to after the completion of his police proceedings.

In the statement made by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, “As of the place of crime in question, the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office immediately started the investigation process on 24 February. The suspect, who was taken into custody on 25 February as part of the investigation, was arrested on the same day and sent to the penitentiary institution for the crime of “deliberate injury” by the on-duty peace judge, to whom he was transferred.
