The route of the 15th edition of the Tour du Rwanda unveiled



The Rwandan organizers revealed, this Thursday, the route of the 15th edition of the Tour du Rwanda (February 19-26, 2023). The flagship event of African cycling will begin in the heart of the Gulf of Kigali and will end on the heights of the capital of Rwanda.

Riders will challenge each other on long climbs over eight stages. The third and fifth will be the longest and most difficult with respectively an elevation gain of 3,360 meters and 4,157 meters over the 199.5 km and 195 km to be covered. The peloton will also pass by the famous Mur de Kigali with a finish at Mont Kigali during the seventh stage.

To participate in this 15th edition, 20 teams have been selected, including eight who will compete in the event for the first time. We will thus find the Israel Start-Premier Tech team, Total-Direct Energie, the Spanish formation Euskaltel and the Italian Green Project CSF Bardiani. The Belgians Soudal Quick Step and EF Nippo will also be there.
