Ukrainian military shelled populated areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 40 times over the past 24 hours. They fired 163 shells of different calibers, the Telegram channel of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
The JCCC clarified that in the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 22 attacks in 24 hours. Two more attacks were recorded in the Gorlovka direction and 16 in the Yasinovatovsky direction. Ukrainian troops used 152 and 155 mm caliber shells, including those with cluster warheads.
In total, five settlements came under fire – Donetsk, Gorlovka, Zaitsevo, Yasinovataya and Yasinovatsky district. As a result of the shelling, seven residents of the Yasinovataya and Kuibyshevsky districts of Donetsk were injured.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 75 Ukrainian drones per day in the combat zone. This is the maximum value since the beginning of the special operation. Drones were shot down in the areas of the settlements of Mirnoye, Tokmak, Chervonogorka, Pologi, Zaporozhye region; Volnovakha, Artemovsk, Zolotarevka DPR; Golikovo, Lisichansk LPR; Olshana, Kharkov region, Novaya Sburevka, Sagi and Heroiskoe, Kherson region.
