The atrocities committed in Ukraine remind us that conflict is unfortunately still in progress. Two women and a seven-year-old girl were killed on Tuesday during a bombing in the Sumy region, located in northeastern Ukraine on the border with Russia, the regional prosecutor’s office said.
The bodies of the two women and two injured men were taken out of the rubble of damaged houses in this town of Seredyna-Bouda, the prosecution said on its Facebook page.
The little girl was in a car with her stepfather at the time of the strike. They were both injured, added the prosecution. “Later, the girl died of her injuries in hospital,” according to the same source.
At least five houses destroyed
The bombing was carried out around 12:30 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. in Paris) using a multiple rocket launcher system, according to preliminary data, the prosecution said. “At least five houses were destroyed,” he continued, publishing photos of buildings with ruined walls or roofs.
Ukraine accuses Russia of regularly bombing its border communities since Moscow launched the invasion of its neighbor in February 2022, vast territories of which in the East and South are occupied by Moscow’s troops.
