Ümit Özdağ: Mansur Bey, you had no right to betray this love
Victory Party Leader Ümit Özdağ made the following statement after Mansur Yavaş announced that he supported Kılçdaroğlu: “Mansur Bey, you have upset the Turkish Nation!”
Saying that they wanted to see Mansur Yavaş as a presidential candidate for a long time, at every opportunity, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ issued a message after Yavaş announced that he supported Kılıçdaroğlu.
Özdağ said in the message he published on his social media account:
“Mansur Bey, you have upset the Turkish Nation! However, the Turkish Nation is a great nation. It works miracles when hopes are thought to be gone. “Whether Mansur is president or not, the Palace regime will go, the refugees will go.”
Özdağ used the following expressions in the video he added to his message:
We will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Republic this year. However, we are going to a difficult choice. The palace regime, the wreckage of the earthquake, the economic crisis, the nightmare collapse of 13 million refugees and fugitives over our country… All of these almost exhaust the hopes of the Turkish people.
In such an environment, we invite Mr. Mansur Yavaş, who we see great support from the Turkish people, to take office as the Victory Party since April 2022 for change.
We say that he should take a bold step towards the presidential candidacy by listening to this demand of the Turkish people without expecting anything in return, acting bravely, reminding him that he must act like Atatürk in order to protect the Atatürk Republic.
We made this call repeatedly and this call was repeatedly unanswered. After the heavy disintegration in the last Six Tables, which we predicted, we made a call to the Turkish people to invite Mansur Yavaş to the square.
We gathered in front of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality at 15.00 on Sunday and said invite Mansur Yavaş to duty.
This was not a party call, it was a popular movement call. Let’s not leave Turkey’s future to political calculations, let’s not leave it to the accounts of 3-5 deputies, we wanted the people to show their own candidate.
Unfortunately, Mansu Bey did not show his gratitude and devotion to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Turkish Nation, without even waiting for the people to show this demand, and once again expressed his loyalty to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Mansur Bey, you had no right to betray the trust and love for you in this way. You have turned your back on the hopes of Turkish youth. You turned the hopes of change people put on you with the back of your hand.
You are really disappointing, Mr. Mansur… I wish you hadn’t done that.”
