Urbanist Alain Bertaud will be in Porto Alegre for the Freedom Forum

Author of “Order without design: How markets shape cities”, French urbanist Alain Bertaud will be at this year’s Freedom Forum, on a panel about cities. The lecture will be on the 14th and will mark the launch of the translated edition of his book.
Professor at the University of New York, where he lives, Bertaud has acted as a consultant to the World Bank and to governments in several countries. His experience in the relationship with Brazil was with the MBA Cidades Responsivas (held in partnership between the OSPA office, the Free School of Architecture and IMED). In 2021, he granted interview with Jornal do Comércio.
The Freedom Forum (FL) 2023 will take place on April 13 and 14 at the PUCRS Events Center in Porto Alegre. In its 36th edition, the theme chosen is “Alice in the Land of Freedoms”, which seeks to relate the classic with the experience of individuals. The event is organized by the Instituto de Estudos Empresariais (IEE) and tickets for the 36th edition of the FL are sold online at the link fl23.com.br.
