Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu, who made a statement for tax-free phones and computers, said that the regulation will be completed soon. Tax-free phone conditions have not been determined yet, but all university students, including those studying in open education and colleges, will benefit and will include phones produced in Turkey.

WHAT IS THE LATEST SITUATION ON TAX-FREE PHONES AND COMPUTERS?
Stating that the tax-free mobile phone and computer regulation that young people are waiting for will be completed soon, Uraloğlu pointed out that the implementation will start before the end of the year.
Uraloğlu stated that the study was carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure also supported the study.
Regarding the tax-free phone and computer sales, Uraloğlu said, “I think it will be completed these days, announced to the public and started before the end of the year.”
‘THE PRESIDENT WILL ANNOUNCE IT SHORTLY’
Uraloğlu stated that in addition to the tax-free phone and computer arrangement, 10 GB free internet use will also be provided and made the following statements:
“As the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Higher Education Institution, the Ministry of National Education and Transport, we have received offers from operators about providing 10 GB internet, who are the university students we will address here, how many of them are. We will present it to our President. He will make this statement shortly.
Our Ministry of Industry and Technology primarily carries out the tax-free regulation regarding tax-free mobile phones and computers. We also provide them with infrastructure and registration support. They are also working on which monetary limits the devices will be covered by the regulation. “I think it will be completed today, announced to the public and started before the end of the year.”
TAX-FREE PHONE AND COMPUTER CONDITIONS FOR STUDENTS
Tax-free phone and computer conditions have not been officially announced yet, but it is expected to cover all university students, including those in institutions and open education.
In addition, students will be given 10 GB of free monthly internet, but tax-free phones will not cover all models. It will only cover phones produced in Turkey and an upper limit will be set on the price.
Due to the requirement for production in Turkey for tax-free phones, it is expected to cover all phones in the A series, Vestel, Xiaomi, OPPO, Realme, TCL, Reeder, Casper models. It is estimated that there will be an average 50 percent decrease in the prices of phones produced in Turkey with tax-free phone and computer opportunities.
