The French runner, as part of the Stars of Sport, focused on the episode that disrupted the Serbian in the Davis Cup.

Invited to the Étoiles du sport in Tignes, Romain Bardet returned to the refusal to Novak Djokovic to submit to an anti-doping test before the quarter-final between Serbia and Great Britain (the Serb ped the test after the match). The Team DSM rider explained, in comments reported by Ouest-France: “Without wanting to offend tennis players and put cycling on a pedestal, we know very well that the treatment of the subject is different in the two sports. Afterwards, everything is not perfect in cycling and we are still fighting to make it progress even more and to intensify the controls even more, and reduce these famous windows where the athlete cannot be controlled. I think we are a bit of a pioneer on the international scene, but it is a daily battle and we know well that even when controls are well carried out, it is sometimes not enough.»
