Worldline unions call for strike, payments could be disrupted

The unions of the company specializing in payments Worldline maintained their call for a new day of strike Friday, November 25, day of Black Friday, high mass of consumption. Denouncing the management’s decision to put an end to discussions on wages after the last day of the strike on November 8, the inter-union made up of the CFDT, CFTC, CFE-CGC, FO and CGT decided to continue the movement. We had initially chosen short strikes, during the day, with no technical impact on customer services“, underlines in a press release the inter-union, which demanded 175 euros gross increase per month (a total of 2275 euros over 13 months) and a budget of 5% of the payroll for individual increases. This time, by choosing to call a strike on Friday, the impact could be more visible, given the explosion in the number of transactions to be expected. In the event of strong mobilization, malfunctions could thus not be resolved quickly, causing a deterioration in the quality of service. “Without an appropriate response from management, this strike will be renewable the following Monday, Cyber ​​Monday, also of very high payment activity.“, has already warned the inter-union.

In addition to the November 8 strike, the trade unions had already called for four half-day strikes on September 6, 13, 20 and October 4. The Mandatory Annual Negotiations (NAO) held in the aftermath did not allow the company and the unions to reach an agreement, the group citing “the current highly uncertain macroeconomic environmentto justify the refusal to respond to union demands. This is the first strike action in the company for 12 years.
